The March/April 2026 Edition of MBC Today

Here's the most recent edition MBC Today, including my letter from the editor and a link to the digital version preview of the magazine (the full version is an exclusive benefit for its subscribers).

Thank you to all who contributed to this issue of the retail print, mailbox, packing, shipping, logistics, and business center industry's leading publication, keeping both independent and franchise stores across the country up to date, in the loop, and networked together. It's a privilege to produce and edit this publication, but it's because of your hard work that it has such rich content.

Dear Readers,

New Orleans, here we come!

When I was at another industry event a week or two ago in Orlando, Tommy mentioned to me that AMBC's New Orleans event was nearly sold out. And I'm not at all surprised. AMBC events, in my maybe-not-too-humble and maybe-quite-biased opinion, are the best that this industry has to offer. Why? Because it's real store owners offering real advice, coming from an authentic non-sales-pitch place.

AMBC, after all, is a member-run non-profit industry association. As such, it's able to truly live by its "members helping members" motto. Genuinely.

New Orleans won't just be another vendor trade show. No, it'll be a networking and brainstorming workshop of inspiration! Three store tours on Sunday? Are you kidding me? That's truly outstanding. And a haunted New Orleans bus tour to boot? Sign me up!

I want to make sure I publicly thank Marielou here, in this letter, in front of the world, before I or anyone else forgets, for all of the work she has personally put into planning this upcoming event in her beloved hometown. The entire AMBC board and staff are amazing, but I would be remiss if I didn't specifically give commendation to my dear old buddy Marielou and her always-helpful attitude and exemplary friend-to-all and friend-to the-industry spirit. She's truly a rock star.

As you may have already heard (and, if not, you'll read about it in the news section of this issue of MBC Today), Seema, Fahim, and I have recently launched a podcast. It's an inspirational, informational, and motivational mash-up, with episodes generally less than 40 minutes each and featuring business leaders, thought leaders, community leaders, and life leaders who have discovered the secret to success: living in gratitude, embracing joy, and embracing that inner something that each individual has that no one else can replicate: mojo.

Recording and sharing these episodes has been a true joy. Each guest has taught us many things and, though our goal was to share motivation with the world, I'm finding myself motivated way more than I anticipated! It's kind of magical. I hope you'll tune in when you can at mojomotivation.com or on your favorite podcast streaming platform.

Finally, in the spirit of gratitude and in the spirit of members helping members, I want to thank all of you. In a world that's on fire, we have one of the most important things in each other that can sustain, uplift, encourage, and enliven: community. Thank you for being part of my community; thank you for caring, sharing, and daring to live and do business authentically.

With care,
